I had vein ablation in Scottsdale on my great saphenous vein 6-months ago and there was no improvement in the bulging appearance, is this normal?

My doctor said I now need sclerotherapy or RF ablation, should I get a second opinion?

If the treated vein, the GSV, was not the one that is bulging, then it is possible that the bulging vein will need treatment separate of the RF treatment. Sometimes if the bulging vein comes off the GSV and the GSV is treated, the bulging vein may improve without direct treatment, but if it does not, then sclerotherapy or alternate treatment would be appropriate to address the vein that is bothering you.
