Why did I get foam sclerotherapy rather than EVLA? I got EVLA on one vein but told that the rest were too twisty.
Endovenous laser treatment is not flexible enough to navigate tortuous veins.
EVLA is traditionally a treatment for veins that are somewhat straight in nature. The laser fiber is not flexible enough to navigate through tortuous (twisty) veins. Usually sclerotherapy or phlebectomy is the recommended treatment for such veins.
