Extreme tightness and pain in your feet may be more of a podiatric issue than vascular.
Question: I have extreme tightness and pain in both feet. On the top of right foot it feels like the muscle tightens up and it’s painful when I try to stand. It feels like a Charlie horse. It takes a few minutes for the pain to go away and where I can flatten my foot upon standing up. What is this pain I’m having? Why?
Answer: Without a proper assessment this question is difficult to answer. Off the cuff, it sound more of a podiatric issue than vascular. Sometimes it can be as simple as the type of shoe you wear in relation to your foot; ie high or flat arches, how much time you spend on your feet, what amount and level of activity you are doing on a daily basis, etc. I would start with either your primary provider or podiatrist first to point you in the correct direction to have this problem sorted out.
