Could StemEnhance be taken to repair damaged veins and promote healthier blood?

When isolated and in controlled settings, each ingredient seems to lend itself to health benefits; but one must be consumer savvy. This product has not been evaluated by the FDA

According to the provided website, this supplement contains the following: StemEnhance® (Aphanizomenon flos-aquae concentrate) Take 2 capsules 1-2 times daily. Mesenkine® (Spirulina platensis extract) Fucoidan (Undaria pinnatifida extract). If broken into the three main components, a brief review of the literature reveals the following: Aphanizomenon flos-aquae is a blue-green algae, and has been shown to increase stem cell proliferative action when incubated with human adult bone marrow. Spirulina platensis is a filamentous cyanobacterium that is biotechnologically important due its high nutritional value. From Undaria pinnatifida, some researchers isolated Stearidonic Acid (SA), Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA) and Arachidonic Acid (AA) from the edible brown seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida). Stearidonic Acid was active against mouse ear inflammation induced by phorbol myristate acetate edema, erythema and blood flow. EPA was also active against edema, erythema and blood flow.

When isolated and in controlled settings, each ingredient seems to lend itself to health benefits; but one must be consumer savvy. This product has not been evaluated by the FDA, so although the label states this product contains these types of algae, are they in a dose sufficient to cause the intended benefit, and can one consume them orally and replicate the intended effect. Aphanizomenon flos-aquae has been shown to increase stem cell proliferation in human bone marrow, when the cells are put together in a petri dish, but does it behave the same when you swallow it in pill form? Ultimately, will swallowing some algae cause harm? Not likely. Will you see a benefit? Hard to say. One thing that has been studied extensively, and is FDA approved to improve venous tone and lymphatic congestion is Diosmin. I will not state the branded name as this is not intended to push a particular product. However, if you are looking for something that has been shown to provide the consumer with the stated benefit. A simple internet search will given you further information.
