Is it ok to use 20-30mmHg compression stockings instead of 15-20mmHg
Question: I tried to purchase 15-20 mmHg compression but they were out of inventory so they sent 20-30 mmHg. Is it okay to wear the higher grade?
Answer: For daily use with the diagnosis of venous insufficiency, either grade of stocking is acceptable as long as they are comfortable and supportive. Some insurance companies require the 20-30mmHg use prior to approval of certain interventions.
